I am attempting to better organize the codes that exists on my laptop where the same code file exists in many folders based on which pet project was using it at the moment.  This leads to different revisions of the same code which I don’t like because it is an organization nightmare.  In one project I may add a new function but will have to remember to copy it across various places.

Last night, I decided to try out GitHub as a repository because I don’t have the hardware right now to host my own source control at home such as SVN.  Thought about getting a Mac mini but still debating if I should or not.

So far, GitHub is pretty cool.  I am still learning how to use it as I am more accustomed to SVN and trying to decide what should be a sub-folder of a repository vs. a repository in GitHub.

If you want to check it out, you can see my main repository at Serene Khaos GitHub profile.  The Code Library is my main repository where I will start adding helper functions in various languages I have created for pet projects as well as codes I have from various prototypes or sandbox type modules I want to start sharing.  Learning is more fun when shared and discussions are taking place.  I want to learn from others and enjoy what the web has to offer.

I value any feedbacks you may have and welcome it.  Feel free to send an e-mail or post a comment with anything on your mind and how I can improve.
